Jacqueline Fernandez hails from Manama in Bahrain. Her family was raised in an multiethnic family. Her parents are Malaysian and from Sri Lanka. Her father Elroy Fernandez is from Sri Lanka. Padukone's father is a professional badminton player Prakash Padukone. Padukone has had a childhood in Copenhagen and Bangalore. As a teenager she competed in badminton at the national championships, but she ended her professional career in order to be a fashion model. Padukone is from Mangalore, and her native language is Konkani. Her lineage is from Padukone village in Kundapura Taluk in the Udupi District of the state of Karnataka, India. Prakash Padukone's father is an international champion in badminton who has retired. The mother of the child is a travel agent.
